Ukraine, Lithuania jointly promote Marshall Plan in Washington

(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Ukrainian MPs and Lithuanian friends of Ukraine during a visit to Washington jointly promote the programs of economic and investment support for Ukraine.

First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Herashchenko informed this on Facebook.

"During meetings at the U.S. Congress, Senate, Department of State, analytical centers, I focus on the security, humanitarian and environmental situation in the occupied Donbas and Crimea, on violation of human rights there. In turn, my colleagues together with our friends from Lithuania, in particular with Lithuania's former prime minister Kubilius, promoted the programs of economic and investment support for Ukraine - the so-called Marshall Plan," Herashchenko wrote.

She adds that the meetings in Washington are very informative, and their unusual format involving Ukrainians and Lithuanians who understand Russia's cunning is mutually complementary.

Herashchenko notes that there are a lot of issues about domestic situation, fight against corruption, and implementation of reforms. They all will be discussed during the meetings at the U.S. Congress and the Department of State tomorrow.
