(MENAFN- KNN India) Mysuru to host 5 day MSME training program on ZED certification
New Delhi, Dec 13 (KNN) In order to facilitate capacity building and equip the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) with the Zero Effect Zero Defect (ZED) scheme of the government, Confederation of India Industries is to hold a five day training program in Mysuru.
The program is to commence from Dec 19 and will go on till De 23. The prime focus of the program is to help the MSMEs from the backward regions to undertake the ZED scheme.
The ZED certification scheme was launched by the government in order to make the domestic MSMEs stand at par with the international market in terms of competitiveness on quality as well as impact on environment.
The program is being conducted in association with the Quality Council of India (QCI).
Under the ZED scheme, the MSMEs are tested on over 50 parameters that are carried out on global standards.
The certification involves assessment, consultation, and re-assessments. Also the government provides the MSMEs with cost subsidies at the different levels of the programs.
Officials from industry, quality experts are likely to facilitate the five day long workshop. Participants will be awarded certificates on the completion of the training. (KNN/DA)
