Israeli warplanes raid army post in southern Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) GAZA, Dec 13 (KUNA) -- Israeli warplanes raided early Wednesday a military post in southern Gaza Strip, which resulted in material damages, but no human casualties.

Eyewitnesses told KUNA that Israeli F-16 fighters raided a Palestinian navy post west of Khan Younis, causing material damages to a number of surrounding houses and causing chaos and panic among people.

Gaza Strip witnessed a security unrest lately, including launching of missiles from Gaza towards Israeli settlements, as well as the continuation of angry demonstrations on the eastern borders of the Strip.

This comes amid public and official rejection for the announcement of United States President Donald Trump last Wednesday in which he recognized Jerusalem city as the capital of "Israel", and the transfer of US embassy to Tel Aviv. (end) wab.lb
