Talks were focused on Washington's decision to move the US Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

The status of Jerusalem is one of the key problems in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Israel occupied its eastern part during the 1967 war. It insists that Jerusalem is the "eternal and indivisible" capital of Israel. Meanwhile, the Palestinians want to make the eastern part the capital city of their own state.
