Australia: shark nets urged to be phased out

(MENAFN) A Senate investigation discovered that shark nets placed across Australia to guard people in the beach are ought to be phased out seeing that it results in damages more frequently than protection.

An inspection took place by upper house committee on Australia's shark mitigation and deterrent measures, the examination particularly focused on the use of mesh nets in NSW and Queensland.
