Qatar- Emiri Diwan launches new website

Doha: Emiri Diwan, the administrative office of the Emir H H Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, has launched an official website in Arabic and English with friendly and interactive layout.

The website, , will be the main interface of the latest and most important news of the Emir and the Deputy Emir.

The site has four main categories - Amiri Diwan, Leadership, Briefing Room and About Qatar.

In the biography page under the ‘Leadership' category there is link through which people can contact the Emir by filling out a form. There are also links to Vision, Initiatives, Speech & Remarks and Photo Gallery.

The Amiri Diwan category includes information about Diwan, its chief HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz Al Thani and ‘Decorations'.

In decorations section there are detailed explanation of the Amiri decorations, like Al Wajbah Decoration, The Founder's Sword and the Sash of Hamad bin Khalifa.

The Leadeship category includes biography of the Emir and biography of Deputy Emir HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hamad Al Thani.

Briefing Room includes news, legislations, Amiri Directives, Photo Gallery, Video Gallery and live feed.

There is also a general information section about Qatar.

Amiri Diwan acts as a nexus between Emir and all governmental and non-governmental bodies internally and externally.

Among its manifold tasks and responsibilities, it keeps the Emir abreast of the most important developments locally and internationally, submits to him draft laws and other legislative instruments for perusal and approval, and delivers his instructions to the concerned authorities.
