Qatar, Vietnam holds second round of political consultation

Hanoi:The second round of political consultations between the State of Qatar and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam was held in Hanoi yesterday.

The Qatari delegation was headed by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, while the Vietnamese side was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vu Hong Nam.

The two sides discussed bilateral relations and means of advancing them in all fields. They agreed to develop relations between the two countries by increasing the volume and level of trade exchange and economic cooperation and boosting bilateral investments. They also discussed the latest developments on the regional and international arenas.

Earlier, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi met Pham Binh Minh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The meeting discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and means of boosting and developing them, in addition to the developments on the regional and international arenas. The meeting was attended by Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Mohammed Ismail Al Emadi.
