As many as 2,477,908 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan in January-November 2017, which is 413,684 people or 20 percent more compared to the same period of 2016, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Culture and Tourism told Trend Dec. 11.
Meanwhile, 31,877 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan in November 2017 compared to 169,427 foreign citizens in November 2016.
Most of tourists arrived from Russia (790,258), followed by Georgia (488,269), Iran (340,702), Turkey (275,147), UAE (87,215), Iraq (58,259), Ukraine (53,583), Saudi Arabia (32,644), other countries (351,831).
Most of tourists arrived from Iran, UAE and Russia in January-November 2017 compared to January-November 2016.
This year, 117,556 tourists have arrived in Azerbaijan from Iran, 44,558 tourists from the UAE, and 105,020 tourists from Russia.
