Saudi Arabia Caring for Heritage, Tourism, Emanate from World Human History Perspective, as Junction of Civilizations, Prince Sultan bin Salman Says

Muscat, Rabi'I 23, 1439 H., December 11, 2017, SPA -- Caring for heritage as well as tourism displayed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represents the attention paid by the Kingdom to the global human history and heritage, in its capacity as the ground of the heavenly revelation, cradle of Islam, land of the Two Holy Mosques and the junction of civilizations, Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, President of the General Authority for Tourism and National Heritage remarked.
Addressing a session of the 2nd International Conference on Tourism and Culture here today, organized by the Omani Ministry of Tourism, in collaboration with the World Tourism Organization and the UNESCO, the prince drew attention of the gathering that the Kingdom under the wise leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud is, recently, witnessing a quantum leap boosting tourist and heritage projects, due to the attention the state pays for tourism and heritage, as a main job opportunities creator and a crucial factor in cementing the national identity through strengthening the rooting of the citizen with his land, history and civilization.
He concluded that the Kingdom perspective in dealing with tourism and heritage proceeds from eyeing the sector, not only as an economic industry but also as a human enterprise.
