S.Korean gov't discloses list of unpaid taxes


(MENAFN) The government of South Korea has disclosed on Monday a list of about 21,000 new citizens business entities with unpaid taxes above 200m won for one year and more.

The National Tax Service has decided to expose those on the list after they rejected stating their reasons for not paying their taxes, despite of them being asked to, for over 6 months.

The list has 5,027 individuals, in addition to 6,376 firms that have not paid taxes, with an unpaid tax total of 11.47t won.

The tax agency said it has filed civil lawsuits against 306 entities so far this year while attributing an additional 193 people to prosecutors.
