The number of applicants for the Quran school competition for students in its 57th edition reached more than 14,000 students from all levels in public and private schools.
The competition, organised by the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, opened registration for schools in mid-October, and closed on February 11.
The Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs called on the local and resident students to quickly register and prepare for the competition which will be held in February.
Since more than 50 years, the State of Qatar has been keen to hold annual Quran competitions in school, and the winners receive awards, and participation certificates.
