Qatar- Katara set to host Iraqi music evening

The Cultural Village Foundation Katara, is set to host an evening of Iraqi music, details of which have been discussed during yesterday's meeting between Katara General Manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and Iraq Embassy Charge d'Affaires Dr Abdulsattar H Al Janabi.

The musical evening will reflect the rich Iraqi heritage with an aim to revive the masterpieces of the authentic music genre in Iraq.

The meeting was aimed at enhancing joint cultural cooperation through cultural events that contribute to strengthening the brotherly relations between the Qatar and Iraq.

Dr Al Sulaiti welcomed the proposal of hosting activities that enhance the presence of Iraqi culture within the Qatari cultural scene, pointing out that such events stem from Katara's keenness to build communication bridges between people from all walks of life.

For his part, Dr. Al Janabi expressed his admiration of the Cultural Village with its outstanding facilities and activities. He expressed his appreciation for the unceasing efforts and effective role played by Katara as a renowned cultural platform at regional and international levels.
