Ican raise warning of a nuclear crisis ahead

(MENAFN) In what seemed to be an indication to US and North Korea tensions, the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (Ican) warned that a "nuclear crisis" from a "bruised ego" is facing that world.

Executive director of Ican Beatrice Fihn who was granted on Sunday the Nobel Peace Prize warned that "the deaths of millions may be one tiny tantrum away," she further added "we have a choice, the end of nuclear weapons or the end of us."

During recent months, weapons programme of North Korea has caused tensions to drastically rise. Moreover, what made fears of a nuclear war intensify is the open aggression and personal attacks among US President Trump and the North Korean leadership under Kim Jong-un.
