Jordan- Parliament to Revisit Wadi Araba Agreement

AMMAN —AlGhad— The Parliament's House of Representatives voted today, Sunday, in favour of revisiting the Wadi Araba Agreement between Jordan and Israel, in response to the US President Donald Trump's recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of the occupation state.

Fourteen MPs signed a memo, endorsed by Khalil Atieh, tasking the Parliamentary Legal Committee with revisiting the Peace Treaty for the purpose of annulling it.

The memo to revisit and annul the Wadi Araba Peace Treaty - (AlGhad)

The Committee will explore all possible outs of the Treaty, in order to go ahead with the issuance of an annulment bill.

Earlier today, the Committee was tasked with citing infringements by the occupation over the years since the signing of the agreement.
