Al Maryah Island has partnered with Platinum Records, the leading record label company which operates under the MBC Group umbrella, to usher in 2018 with a star-studded music and fireworks spectacular. As the capital�s biggest New Year�s Eve celebration, visitors will be entertained on Al Maryah Island�s promenade with live performances by �The Caesar of Arabic music,� Kadim Al Sahir and Khaleeji superstar, Balqees. Award-winning singer and classical vocalist Kadim Al Sahir, famous for his hits Zidini Ishqan and Kooli Ohoboki, will mesmerize the audience with his much-loved repertoire of songs, which spans over three decades. The lead coach on the Arabic version of international TV hit show �The Voice� is one of the Arab world�s most famous artists selling over 100 million albums. Al Maryah Island�s concert with this true pan-Arab artist is guaranteed to give the audience a unique, once-in-a-lifetime memorable experience. Emirati-Yemeni star Balqees will kick off the New Year�s Eve celebrations and treat visitors to an unforgettable performance with Khaleeji hits like DeeJay, Ya Hawa, and Deggo Khbaity. Balqees released her record-breaking album �Majnoun� in 2013 that garnered almost 30 million views on YouTube, followed by her second album �Zai Ma Ana� in 2015, which became the highest-selling and most downloaded album on iTunes in the Middle East, winning her the title �2015 Best Arabic Singer in the Middle East� by Apple Music. She is also a certified member of the UAE NSO Symphony Orchestra, where she has revived several Opera concerts in multiple languages, including Arabic, English, French, and Italian.
