The 'Forum of Regions is planned to be held in Tashkent in the first half of 2018 that is aimed at further development of trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
The Uzbek parliament said that the issues on its holding were discussed at a meeting of the commission for cooperation with the Federation Council of Russia's Federal Assembly held in the Senate of Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by members of the parliamentary delegation of Russia led by Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Ilyas Umakhanov.
During the commission's meeting, a number of key issues related to further development and deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the Senate of Uzbekistan and the Federation Council of Russia's Federal Assembly were considered through the exchange of visits at various levels, joint events, and the exchange of information on legislative and other regulatory acts.
In conclusion, it was decided to hold the next meeting of the commission in Moscow.
