US Air Force call for its pilots to keep windows clean
(MENAFN) In order to evade any unfortunate mid-air crashes with civilian aircraft, the US Air Force (USAF) has advised its UK-based pilots to make sure their windows are clean at all times.
During the past five years, RAF Lakenheath-based USAF F-15 jets were caught up in a total of nineteen near-misses with UK aircrafts.
Recently, a Suffolk-base F-15 pilot has succeeded in evading a crash after a glider was noticed by eyesight instead of being detected by radar. The USAF confirmed that its pilots were qualified to fly in a "vigilant state."
