France's position is clear, the country doesn't recognize the separatist regime of Nagorno-Karabakh, French Foreign Ministry told Trend through the country's Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The French government doesn't have to comply with the 'charter signed by the country's Alfortville municipality, the ministry said.
A few days ago, a 'friendship charter was signed between France's Alfortville municipality and Armenia-occupied Lachin district of Azerbaijan.
Mayor of Alfortville municipality, MPs, municipality members, ambassador of Armenia to Paris, a 'permanent representative of Nagorno-Karabakh separatists Hovhannes Gevorgian and 'mayor of Lachin district Artyom Saribekyan attended the event.
