(MENAFN) TV actor, pop star and teen idol David Cassidy died today at 67 following multiple organ failure after being hospitalized for several days having experienced kidney and liver failure.
Best known for portraying Keith Partridge on the hit 1970s American series The Partridge Family, Cassidy checked into a hospital in Florida days ago and was pronounced dead just hours ago.
Family statement says Cassidy died in Florida "surrounded by those he loved, with joy in his heart".
Publicist Jo-Ann Geffen, who shared a statement from his family, confirmed the death of the pop idol in grief statement.
