Pakistan- PCB backs Hafeez to rectify bowling action

(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 22 November: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has rejected media reports that it has deserted all-rounder Muhammad Hafeez who was recently banned by the International Cricket Council (ICC) from bowling due to illegal action.

The PCB said in a statement on Tuesday that the Board has already set up a committee to rectify the bowling action of Hafeez. It said the committee will provide every kind of help to Hafeez to rectify his bowling action.

The bowling action of Hafeez was reported during third ODI between Pakistan and Sri Lanka at Sharjah. The ICC banned Hafeez from bowling after his action was proved to be illegal during laboratory tests.

It is third time that Hafeez has been banned from bowling. Earlier, Hafeez was banned twice from bowling after which he corrected his action.
