Pakistan- Khattak urges students to focus on IT to get maximum benefits of CPEC


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) PESHAWAR, 20 November: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak on Monday inaugurated a newly established IT lab at the Edwards College here.

Speaking on the occasion, Pervez Khattak said that the incumbent provincial government was fully focused on education with emphasis on IT and technical education.

He added that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would bring a new hope and future for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, saying, KP had become the most suitable destination for investment and industrialization.

'The only thing we need to do is to enhance our level of preparedness and produce skilled manpower for the industrial needs,' he remarked.

'CPEC is a game changer for the entire region requiring high level of preparedness. We have made all preparations. Information Technology is the most important sector for CPEC enhancing productive capacity of all other sectors,' he said and asked the educational institutions to focus attention on producing experts of information technology.

He also called upon the youth to attain high level of professionalism in IT as well as other spheres of higher education to ensure bright future of the nation.
