Jordan- Drop in temperatures forecast for two days, depression Tuesday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Nov.19 (Petra)-- A slight drop in temperatures is expected on Sunday and Monday, creating partly cloudy to cloudy skies with a week chance for scattered showers in the eastern and southern parts of the Kingdom.

According to Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), a wet and cold air mass accompanied by a depression is expected to start affecting the country on Tuesday, causing further drop in mercury levels and bringing rain with thunder and lightning in the central and northern regions, extending at night to other areas.

Winds will be northwesterly with strong gusts with speed ranging between 50-60 KM/h, the JMD said.

Temperatures expected today in Amman and the southern cities will hover around 20 degrees Celsius and a low of 9 degrees, while mercury levels in Aqaba will register a high of 28 degrees dropping down to 18 degrees at night, the JMD added.
