Lekhwiya cultural season concludes
Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) has concluded the cultural season 2016-2017 by honoring participants and supporters of the cultural programmes and events, and winners of various competitions organised by the Cultural Committee during the year.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Brig Gen Abdulaziz bin Faisal al-Thani, Deputy Commander of Lekhwiya, a number of group leaders at Lekhwiya, and officials of state institutions participating in the activities.
Brig Gen Abdulaziz bin Faisal al-Thani handed handed over commemorative shields and certificates of appreciation to the honorees in recognition of their efforts in making various events successful.
Commenting on the occasion, Chairman of Lekhwiya Cultural Committee Brig Ibrahim Khalil al-Muhannadi praised the unlimited support of HE the Commander of Lekhwiya Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani which was an important factor in Lekhwiya's success. He added that the Committee was keen on providing a variety of activities suitable for all groups, whether military or civilian.
