Qatar- Al Khaliji holds session for students of QU


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) In the framework of its social responsibility plan, Al Khalij Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji) organised an informative session titled 'Risk Management Best Practices for students of Banking and Finance at QatarUniversity (QU).
The session was hosted by Oliver Schwarzhaupt, Al Khaliji's group chief risk officer, who discussed the different ways university students can explore the field of banking and finance through special initiatives and activities.
Through the special event, Al Khaliji has put its many years of experience and the expertise of its senior executives at the fingertips of Qatar's younger generation of aspiring professionals, while helping them to gain a new perspective on banking and finance as a sound career choice.
The session witnessed the participation of a large number of QU students, who were keen on interacting and discussing the topics as well as learning more about Al Khaliji as a leading financial institution in Qatar, and the country's banking sector as a whole.
The event comes as part of the banks efforts to bridge the gap between the education field and the sector's job market.
Going forward, Al Khaliji will continue initiating different programmes that introduce students to the finance and banking sector.
