World's largest healthcare accreditor certifies Dubai based Canadian Specialist Hospital for 3rd time in a row

Joint Commission International (JCI), the world’s largest healthcare accreditor is considered the gold standard in healthcare worldwide. Dubai based Canadian Specialist Hospital (CSH) was reaccredited by JCI for the third time in a row this year. CSH received its first accreditation by JCI in 2011 followed by a reaccreditation in 2014. JCI-accredited organizations are required to be reaccredited every three years as part of ongoing performance improvement. UAE authorities have recently stated, that all hospitals will have to be accredited before 2021. The law focuses on protecting the rights of the patients and providing the premier healthcare services in the emirate. A step in this direction augurs well for the economy and further nurtures the healthcare ecosystem. Global accreditations will further boost Dubai’s leadership position as the health tourism hub in the region.
