Pakistan- FC personnel killed, another injured in IED blast in South Waziristan


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) WANA, 30 October: A security personnel was martyred and another wounded when roadside bomb went off in Gurguri area of tehsil Tiarza in South Waziristan agency, official sources said here on Monday.

According to the sources, personnel of the Frontier Corps were fetching potable water from a nearby stream when they were attacked with a planted IED.

A sepoy Shaukat was killed while another Noorullah received injuries in the attack, the sources added. Later, security forces cordoned off the area and conducted search operation in the surrounding locality, however, no arrest was made till the filling of the report.

It merits recalling here that two security personnel were injured in Makin tehsil of South Waziristan Agency in militants' attack, following which the local administration had clamped curfew in the area on to lift it on Sunday.
