Taxi driver in Bogota are protesting against Uber


(MENAFN) In Bogota, the capital of Colombia, thousands of taxi drivers have blocked the streets and clashed with police while protesting against Uber.

They are demanding for more control on technological firms such as Uber and Cabify, who are don't have to pay insurance.

One taxi driver said: "We want the government to stop Uber, Cabify and any other applications that try to come here."

But Authorities in Colombia are claiming they can't stop hail services from operating in the city.
