Haley on a mission to resolve African conflicts

(MENAFN) An alarming issue came into sight that Africa's humanitarian catastrophes and political chaos might actually lead to greater security threats to US. So as to assist in resolving both of Africa's violent conflicts, Nikki Haley, US Ambassador to the United Nations, has commenced a diplomatic operation.

On Monday, Haley arrived in Ethiopia to have a discussion with Hailemariam Desalegn, Ethiopian Prime Minister and officials of the African Union. Post the meetings, Haley aspired that this was the start of "a stronger relationship" with AU and Washington's allies in Africa.

Haley stated "the United States very much sees Africa as a very important part of the world. We see great opportunities in Africa, we see challenges in Africa, but we want to support and help in those situations" she goes on saying "most importantly we want to see how we can partner together, whether that is through economic development, whether it is through strategic practices, whether it's through political solutions."

Furthermore, Haley is planning to travel to South Sudan as well as the Democratic Republic of Congo. This will be one of the first visits to the continent made by a Trump administration's senior member.
