China: lowest jobless rate in years


(MENAFN) According to China's labour ministry, by the end of last month, unemployment rate has reached its lowest point in so long at 3.95%.

However, employment is still struggling as the economy is moving forward with structural improvements.

According to The ministry of human resources and social security, 10,97m new job opportunities were created in the country from Jan-Sep in 2017, an increase of 300,000 from 2016.

The head of the ministry said: "We need to create 15 million jobs per year", as the country has over 8m fresh university graduates heading for the job markets annually.
