(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Oct 19 (KUNA) -- UK Prime Minister Theresa May said Thursday that the EU summit later Thursday will be looking at the progress that has been made in our Brexit negotiations and setting an ambitious plan for the weeks ahead.
"I particularly want to see an urgency in reaching an agreement on citizens' rights," she told reporters on arrival for the EU summit in Brussels.
This summit, she noted, "is not only about our exit negotiations, it is also about various other really important issues, defense, security, counter-terrorism, migration and I am going to be showing how the UK can continue to play a full role." May said she looks forward to discuss other key issues, the challenges we share, migration, defense, security, counterterrorism with the EU leaders.
"These are issues shared across Europe and the UK wants to continue to play a full role cooperating with the EU in dealing with these," she added. (end) nk.haq
