(MENAFN) The company announced on Monday the registration of Volkswagen Group China's strong sales within the domestic market until the end of Q3.
Around 2.9 million vehicles were delivered from January till September, leading to an increase of 1.4 percent compared to previous years, to be distributed among Chinese mainland and Hong Kong by the group's joint ventures -SAIC & FAWVolkswagen-.
Volkswagen's annual sales in the two markets increased by 6.3 percent, reaching 406.500 vehicles in September. Moreover, Volkswagen sales achieved 2.2 million units, SUVs sales to be the most ordered triggering the growth.
Porsche sales showed a strong growth of 10 percent (54,100 units).
While Audi sold 418.700 units.
