QOC First Vice President meets Hungarian envoy


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) First Vice President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) HE Sheikh Saud bin Ali al-Thani met ambassador of Hungary to Qatar Fodor Barnabas. The meeting reviewed the aspects of sports co-operation between the two countries and means of supporting and developing them in the next stage. Sheikh Saud bin Ali al-Thani welcomed the Hungarian ambassador, praising the bilateral relations between the two countries and the co-operation between them. For his part, the Hungarian ambassador praised the sports renaissance and major tournaments organised by Qatar, and wished bilateral relations further progress and development.

Qatari students participate in
Kuwait Olympiad
A Qatari delegation of secondary students will participate in the 8th Arab Chemistry Olympiad, which is being held in Kuwait until Thursday, organised by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education under the umbrella of the Union of Arab Chemists. The competition includes theoretical and practical tests and the results will be announced on Thursday. The Qatari students participating in the Chemistry Olympiad have been trained according to an organised plan that has been set up for this purpose. The Chemistry Olympiad is a scientific competition for secondary students (boys and girls) from the Arab world. It is divided into two main parts, the first of which relates to theoretical chemical information in all branches of chemistry, the second is the practical aspect of conducting laboratory experiments.
