China: crude steel production rises


(MENAFN) According to a data from the country's top economic planner, up until August, there's been a minor increase in China's crude steel production.

According to the National Development and Reform Commission, the output increased 5.6% annually to 566.41m tons from Jan-Aug. in comparison to 0.1% decline in the same period in 2016.

Steel prices continued to rise, as the domestic steel price indicator increased 7.9 points from July to 112.77 in August, and rose 37.51 points from 2016.
