Turkmenistan names new deputy industry minister

Khoshgeldi Mergenov has been appointed as deputy industry minister of Turkmenistan by a presidential decree signed on Sept. 25.

It was previously reported that the state program envisages the creation of a network of small enterprises by 2020 by the Ministry of Industry jointly with the Academy of Sciences, Ministry of Energy and the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.

This will cover the production of semiconductors, elements for processing of solar energy, photoelectric equipment, electronic means, types of automation, lighting devices, including LED-lamps, electricity meters and other types of electrical equipment for the population.
