Pakistan- Three militants killed in forces' operation in DI Khan


(MENAFN- Tribal News Network) DI KHAN, 24 September: At least three wanted militants were killed in a security forces' operation in Daraban area, official sources said here on Sunday.

'On confirmed intelligence reports, security forces carried out search operation in Gara Madda near Dera Ismail Khan. During search operation, suspected motorcycle riders started firing at troops once signaled to stop. Resultantly, fire exchange took place and three terrorists were shot dead,' said an ISPR statement posted online.

According to media wing of military, suspected motorbike riders opened fire at forces when signaled to stop. Resultantly fire exchange started and three terrorists named Iqbal, Waheed, Majid were killed.

The sources added that the killed militants Iqbal, Majid and Waheed were wanted to the police and law enforcement agencies in a number of terrorism-related cases.

Suicide jackets were recovered from the dead militants, ISPR stated. One of the killed militants, Iqbal, had a head-money of one million rupees.
