Puerto Rico's governor fears dam collapse after hurricane


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Puerto Rico's governor met mayors of the country after devastated by the flooding in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria amid fears of dam collapse.

While 70,000 people lived downstream from the compromised dam, they were under order to evacuate with the structure in danger of bursting at any time.

Governor Ricardo Rossello said in a Spanish-language Twitter message said: "We saw directly the damage to the Guajataca dam."
