The International Nurses Association is pleased to welcome Anne M. Gannon, RN, BSN, MHA, OCN, to their prestigious organization with her upcoming publication in the Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Anne M. Gannon is an accomplished Registered Nurse currently serving as the Nurse Manager at the University of Arizona Cancer Center – Dignity Health in Phoenix, Arizona. She is also affiliated with St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, the Kellogg Cancer Centers at NorthShore University HealthSystem, Northwest Community Hospital, and the Center for Human Reproduction. Featuring over 18 years of experience in nursing, she is a specialist oncology nurse, nurse manager and nurse administrator.
Anne's acclaimed career in nursing began in 1999, when she graduated with her Nursing Degree from Harper College in Illinois. An advocate for continuing education, she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in Arizona, where she also gained her Master of Health Administration Degree. Since graduating, she has completed numerous advanced training courses, and holds additional certifications in Oncology Nursing, Chemotherapy and Biotherapy, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
To keep up to date with the latest advances and developments in nursing, Anne is an active member of many professional societies, including the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, the American Nurses Association, the Arizona Nurses Association, the Oncology Nursing Society, and the Chemotherapy Advisory Board. For her wealth of experience and dedication to her patients, she is the recipient of a 2016 Act of Humankindness Award. She attributes her success to her father, Peter B. Zimmer Jr., and two aunts who were also nurses. In her free time, Anne enjoys cross stitch, gardening, traveling, listening to music, pilates and spending time with her grandson.
