BMW to manufacture new 8 series at Dingolfing plant in 2018


(MENAFN) German giant carmaker BMW is planning to build new 8 series model at plant in the southern German town of Dingolfing starting from 2018 to strengthening the role of the site in producing first-class models beside electric vehicle components.

Dingolfing-plant is currently working on BMW's 3 to 7 models and it is expected, according to the company, to record beating annual outputs of 369,000.

BMW's statement released on Saturday said its new electric, autonomous iNEXT model will be built at Dingolfing starting from 2021, and it will supply electric motor, components and battery for the electric MINI which will be built in Oxford.
