Azerbaijan's national volleyball team is one of favorites in the upcoming 2017 Women's European Volleyball Championship, to be held in Azerbaijan and Georgia, Odina Bayramova, captain of the Azerbaijani national team, told reporters in Baku Sept. 21.
She added that representing a country which hosts the Championship, on one hand, keeps a person under pressure due to great responsibility, and, on the other hand, gives the opportunity to share the joy of victory with fans.
Bayramova also called on all volleyball fans to visit the National Gymnastics Arena in Baku and support the Azerbaijani national team.
The 2017 CEV Volleyball European Championship, jointly organized by Azerbaijan and Georgia, will kick off Sept. 22. The tournament will last 10 days and the winner will be announced Oct. 1.
