Tunisia's government to share deficit in three years

(MENAFN) Tunisia's government aims to halve its budget deficit and trim the public wage bill in the coming three years as part of a reform package to revive the economy.

Accordingly, the government is preparing an economic plan to re-launch and salvage the Tunisian economy in order to balance finances.

Additionally, it also aimed to reduce the deficit to 3 percent of GDP by 2020 from 6 percent projected this year.

Meanwhile, the North African nation is aiming to reduce subsidies, overhaul its pension system and shrink its huge public sector.
