First full solar eclipse in US in 99 years

(MENAFN) For the first time in 99 years, millions of Americans gathered to watch the full sun eclipse through telescopes, cameras and disposable protective glasses.

The moon blotted out the sun in the first full- blown solar eclipse to sweep the US from coast to coast.

While temperature dropped, birds quieted down and the stars came out in the middle of the day, and the line of darkness raced 4200 kilometers across the continent for around 90 minutes.
However, in Boise and Idaho the sun was blocked more than 99%.
