Omani Honey Market to open at MGM today


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- The eighth Omani Honey Market will begin at the Muscat Grand Mall (MGM) on Wednesday under the patronage of H E Talal bin Suleiman al Rahbi, deputy secretary general in the Supreme Council for Planning. As many as 35 apiarists from across the country will take part in the market. The four-day market is being organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries.

The ministry seeks to support small and medium enterprises specialised in the production of honey, bee breeding, and sale of bee breeding accessories. It aims to find more outlets to promote Omani honey known for its high quality and nutritional value.

The previous Omani honey markets witnessed a great turnout of buyers. The seventh Omani Honey Market last year saw about four tonnes of honey worth RO99,000 being sold.
