Aden, Dhu-AlQa'dah 02, 1438, July 25, 2017, SPA -- Yemeni Prime Minister Ahmed Obaid bin Daghar met today in the interim capital of Aden, with the special envoy for Somali refugees in Yemen and Africa Mohammad Abedi Ifi.
During the meeting, the Yemeni Prime Minister said that the Yemeni government and people are grateful to the Somali refugees for their generous support. The Yemeni government continues to support and provide them with the necessary services despite the absurd state of war waged by the Houthi and Saleh militias.
He called on UNHCR and international and local organizations concerned with refugee affairs to provide more support for refugees and provide them with the necessary health and service care through the establishment of medical centers for screening to prevent the spread of diseases and epidemics.
The Yemeni Prime Minister praised the efforts of the Riyadh-based King Salman Humanitarian and Relief Center, which helped Somali refugees to enable them return home.
