(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Arab Open University in coordination with the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances organised a workshop under the name First Aid.
Several university staff members participated in this event, which included a number of activities, such as knowing the situation of the injured, CPR, dealing with stomach aches, swallowing of the tongue, drowning cases and nose bleeds.
The importance of first aids was also discussed during the workshop and how crucial it is to be understood well as part of our life, in addition to aspects of first aid personnels. The workshop also focused on discussing the types of first aids and dealing with emergency situations, cuts, bleeding, types of stomach aches for both adults and infants, foreign objects in the body, constant bleeding and checking the pulse.
Further, the participants took a part in demonstrating and applying what they learnt. The workshop was held to spread awareness throughout the university and to provide the emergency skills that the staff members must have to maintain a safe environment.
