Rabat - 16 Moroccan students have been selected to participate in the sixth edition of the Coca-Cola Scholarship Program, taking place from June 24 until July 23 at Indiana's Global Business School in the United States.

The program aims to help future entrepreneurs realize their dreams of business ownership by providing students with the training and guidance needed to improve their business skills.

The 16 Moroccans were selected out of 4,500 candidates from seven countries. The program will focus on the skills required in the world of business and social entrepreneurship.

The program also welcomes candidates from other Arab countries including Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Palestine and Tunisia.

The event is organized by the Coca Cola Company, in coordination with the US State Department and Indiana's University.

The students will stay in the US for one month and be based at the US State Department and Washington DC Chamber of Commerce, before heading to Atlanta where they will have the opportunity to visit the Coca Cola Company headquarters.

Since its inauguration in 2012, seventy Moroccans have taken part in the Coca Cola Company's Scholarship Program, helping them pursue their higher education.

"The MENA region has an incredibly young and Fast-growing population, and empowering the region's youth will be essential to ensuring long-term economic and social prosperity," said Curt Ferguson, president of the MENA Business unit at the Coca-Cola Company in 2016.
