President of Moldova Igor Dodon will pay a visit to Azerbaijan, a diplomatic source told Trend June 14.
The first official visit of the Moldovan president to the country will supposedly take place on June 21-23, according to the source.
Dodon is expected to hold meetings at the highest level and discuss prospects of developing cooperation with Azerbaijan in various fields.
Moldova's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Lilian Darii earlier said that the country is interested in using transit opportunities of Azerbaijan.
According to Azerbaijan's State Customs Committee, trade turnover with Moldova exceeded $2 million in January-May 2017.
