(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): A police officer was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in the Injil district of western Herat province on Sunday, local authorities said.
Jilani Farhad, the governor€™s spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News Mohammad Naeem - head of logistics - was killed in Chaharbagh-i-Feroza locality in the morning.
But Abdul Ahad Walizad, police spokesman, said the victim was in charge of recruitment for Shindand district.
Initial investigation shows that he has been killed due to personal enmity. The assailants managed to flee but a hunt has been lunched for them.
