(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, and consulting firm Distance Studio Consultants (DSC) recently opened its Oman branch.
H E Maitha Saif al Mahrouqi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Tourism inaugurated the new office at Jasmine Complex in Al Khuwayr.
Eng Haitham al Bahrani, chairman of the board, DSC Oman, said, 'DSC is a multi-disciplinary architecture, engineering, electrical and mechanical engineering company. This new branch will pave the way for a richer local experience. This is a significant milestone in the architectural development of Oman.
'DSC brings with it close to two decades of experience in the field, having carved its niche in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, from its headquarters in Egypt. With the inauguration of this new office in Oman, DSC will continue to demonstrate its architectural expertise in creating communities that are functional, comfortable and sustainable.'
Eng Bahrani added that the aim was to establish a qualified and accountable office in the sultanate in cooperation with DSC.
'Along with DSC, I have focused on creating an engineering concept that can understand the architectural approach in the sultanate and develop it further through new cutting-edge architectural techniques. The office will strive to integrate next generation architecture in its projects.'
Marwan Kamil Abdul Raheem, chairman of the board, DSC Egypt, said, 'The office, housed in the penthouse of the Jasmine Complex, is designed to cater to the needs of the local market with a team that has been selected to meet the diverse requirements of the local clientele. One of DSC's strengths is its human resources and its strong communication between departments which makes every project a collaborative group effort.
'DSC has grown exponentially over the years and has to its credit the expertise of more than 300 staff members. In addition to its main headquarters in Cairo, it also has branches in Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the UAE.'
