Egyptian Warplanes hit Libya's Derna again


(MENAFN) Warplanes carried out three air strikes on the Libyan city of Derna, as proclaimed a witness; days after Egypt launched strikes on militant camps against those were responsible for killing Egyptian Christians.

Meanwhile, Egyptian fighter jets struck Derna just hours after masked militants boarded cars on route to a monastery and opened fire at close range in the southern Egyptian province of Minya.

Moreover, Islamic State proclaimed responsibility for attack in Egypt, the latest aiming Christian minority there trailing two church bombings last month that killed more than 45.

The Libyan city of Derna has a history of Islamist militancy and Islamic State first tried to launch its presence in Libya in 2014.
