(MENAFN) A top Indian Health Ministry official, Soumya Swaminathan, announced the country has unveiled its first 3 Zika virus cases during 2016 in the western state of Gujarat.
Accordingly, Swaminathan revealed that "There is no need to panic", because all patients in Gujarat had recovered from the disease.
On the other hand, the head of the Indian Council of Medical Research further added the 3 patients had taken the infection locally.
Moreover, the World Health Organization announced the country's Health Ministry has detected the virus cases in mid-May.
